Unpublished Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Science in Social Work, College of Arts and Sciences, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, May 2018. Adviser: Mr. Renato T. Agdalpen. <br/><br/>This study was conducted in selected barangays of Mendez, Cavite from August 2017 to February 2018. It aimed to determine the life situation, role of social workers and the life changes situation of the pantawid pamilya farm laborers. <br/><br/>To assess the role of social workers on life changing situation of pantawid pamilya farm laborers, the researchers conducted interview to the farm laborers. Casual talks were conducted as well to the registered social workers, neighbors, friends and school advisers. <br/><br/>The life situations of pantawid pamilya farm laborers were difficult and hardworking. Each parents of pantawid pamilya farm laborers are very responsible on providing and supplying the daily basic needs. Despite hardships, pantawid pamilya farm laborers encountered challenges in life. Most of pantawid pamilya farm laborers were lack on financial for fertilizers supply, seasonal root-crops, climate change and lack on materials needed in fanning. Being the beneficiaries of pantawid pamilya farm laborers, social services brought huge changes to simplify their life and fulfill their basic needs. For the pantawid pamilya farm laborers, the role of the social workers in their lives was to promote good leadership and collaborator to build a healthy community. The social workers taught them good aspects and good manners such as humane, unity within the community, socialization, to be resourceful and have a good and strong relationship with their families. In addition, the researchers found out that the role of registered social workers are the change agents who are able to bring changes in the lives of people. For the enhancement of the services, the pantawid pamilya farm laborers wanted to improve their livelihood program to guarantee more extra income.<br/> |
