Abstract: ALVAREZ, SHIARINA D. Exposure to and Values Reflected in Primetime TV Shows with Children as Actors as Perceived by Selected Grade 4 Pupils of Lapidario Elementary School, Trece Martirez City, Cavite. The study was conducted to find out the relationship between the exposure and the values reflected as perceived by selected Grade 4 pupils of Lapidario Elementary School, Trece Martirez City, Cavite to primetime TV shows with children as actors. Specifically, it aimed to identify the profile of selected Grade 4 pupils in Lapidario Elementary School in terms of their name, section, age and gender; to determine the types of primetime TV shows with children as actors the respondents are exposed to; to measure the respondents' level of exposure on primetime TV shows with children as actors; to identify the perception of the respondents on the values reflected by the given shows; and to find out if there a significant relationship between the exposure of selected Grade4 pupils of Lapidario Elementary School, Trece Martirez City, Cavite to primetime TV shows and their perception on the values reflected by such shows. The study was conducted among selected Grade 4 pupils of Lapidario Elementary School, Trece Martirez City, Cavite with a total of 140 out of 213 Grade 4 pupils. Slovin's formula was used to arrive at the number of respondents. The instrument used in the study helped the researcher gather necessary information from the respondents. The questions were carefully and orderly represented as it underwent validity and reliability analysis. The result of the study revealed that the respondents were mostly male with the average age of 10. The types of primetimes tv shows with children as actors were: Fantasy musical- comedy- drama show, which was Daldalita, and drama show which were Ikaw ay Pag ibig and Munting Heredera. The respondents were highly exposed to primetime tv shows with children as actors. The respondents' perception on the values such as being appreciative, caring, courageous, forgiving, helpful, honest, humble, adaptable, love for others, hopeful, patient, optimistic, respectful, understanding, valuing family and friendship, responsible, trustworthy and faith in God are highly reflected. It was also revealed that there was a significant relationship between the level of exposure and the values reflected as perceived by selected Grade 4 pupils on primetime TV shows with children as actors. Further the higher the level of exposure, the higher the values reflected by such shows, and vice versa.

The study was conducted to find out the relationship between the exposure and the values reflected as perceived by selected Grade 4 pupils of Lapidario Elementary School, Trece Martirez City, Cavite to primetime TV shows with children as actors. Further the higher the level of exposure, the higher the values reflected by such shows, and vice versa.
