Abstract: DELACRUZ, RENANTE R AND CAUTIVER, ANA CLARRISE G. Level of Awareness of Asis National High School Students on the Danger of Using Prohibited Drugs. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2013. Adviser : Ms. Susan G. Tan. The use of prohibited drugs is one of the most problems of the society. Some of the users begin at an early age 12. This study was conducted to determine the level of awareness of the students on the danger of using prohibited drugs and to identify whether the profile and awareness of the students have a significant relationship. The descriptive method of research was used. The 580 students who served as participants of the study were chosen through stratified random sampling. The findings show that majority of the students were fully aware that using prohibited drugs have a corresponding effect to their health, study, community or environment and private life. On the other hand, some of the students were moderately aware about laws and gateway substance to more addicting prohibited drugs. Furthermore, the null hypothesis of no significant relationship between the profile and the level of awareness on the danger of using prohibited drugs was rejected. It is recommended that teachers and school administrator need to stay focused on their tasks and conduct more skills and informative activities such as seminars, team building activities, lectures to better educate their students on the danger of using prohibited drugs.
