Abstract: GANNABAN, JAEY ANN MOSTOLES. Shared Experiences and Future Aspirations of Abused Women In Haven National Center For Women in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Prof. Vivian Ramachandran. A study was conducted to determine the experiences of abused women at Haven National Center for Women. Specifically, this study was conducted to: determine the profile of the participants in terms of age, educational attainment, occupation, civil status, and number of children and the life of the participants within the institution and the aspirations of the participants. Participants of this study are those women who experienced abuse at Haven National Center for Women in Alabang, Muntinlupa City and at least six months staying in the institution. Five respondents showed their willingness to participate in this research study. The age of the participants were at the age range between 20 to 60 years old three of the participants having reached college level. Two of the participants are married another, two have a live-in partner, while the other one have no relationship. Results show the life of the abused women inside the institutions, all of the participants are actively participating in the activities in the institutions. The future aspirations of the abused women, three of the participants were planning to go back to their past relationship while the other one was willing to go back to her past relationship. Most of them want to find a job for their family. Knowledge about abused women was considered important to know the situations of abused women in the Philippines. Graduates of social work are expected to do research about abused women analysis to apply their knowledge in the field of social work.
