The researcher conducted a study entitled Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF) of Congressman Elpidio F. Barzaga Jr. in the Lone District of Dasmarinas City; impact on the Physical Development of the 4 Distinct from 2010-2013.
The researcher used a descriptive and narrative analysis in conducting the study of PDAF or Pork Barrel of Congressman Elpidio F. Barzaga Jr. and used a combination of purposive random sampling and quota sampling in conducting this study to get the data needed.
The participants of the study were the constituents living near the city and those who live in big barangays of the Lone District of Dasmarinas City. The participants in this study were asked whether the physical projects being constructed in the Lone District of Dasmariñas were useful.
After conducting the study, the researcher found out how much of the budget was appropriated for the physical development projects of the Lone District of Dasmarinas City for each fiscal year from 2010-2013. In the year 2010, Congressman Elpidio F. Barzaga Jr. allocated P40,000,000.00 (forty million pesos) for physical development projects in the Lone District of Dasmarinas City. In the year 2011, Congressman Elpidio F. Barzaga Jr. allocated P40,000,000.00 (forty million pesos) for physical development projects of the Lone District of Dasmarinas City.
In the year 2012, Congressman Elpidio F. Barzaga Jr. allocated P39, 897,000.0 (thirty nine million, eight hundred ninety seven thousand pesos) to the physical development of the Lone District of Dasmarinas City. And in 2013, Congressman Elpidio F. Barzaga Jr. voluntarily suspended the availability of Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) effective by August 14, 2013. Before that, Congressman Elpidio F. Barzaga Jr. allocated P20,000,000.00 (twenty million pesos) to physical development projects in the Lone District of Dasmarinas City..
The researcher also found out the physical projects being constructed to the Lone District of Dasmarinas City from 2010-2013. Lastly, the researcher found out whether the physical projects being constructed to the Lone District of Dasmarinas City using the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or Pork Barrel Funds were deemed useful to the constituents of the 4" District.
