Abstract: CAPILI, ARJAY C. and MANUEL, KENNETH B. Development of e-Learning system for Philippine Literature Subject of College of Arts and Sciences in Cavite state university. Undergraduate Thesis, Bachelor of Sciences in Information Technology, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. October 2013. Adviser: Ms. Lydia P. Nosa. The study was conducted to develop an e-learning system for Philippine Literature Subject for the College of arts And Sciences in Cavite State University which is able to provide an efficient delivery of quality education specifically for those students who take the subject Philippine Literature. The development of e-learning system for Philippine Literature subject aimed to provide benefits to the university which is the Cavite State University in a manner that comprehends its vision on providing globally competitive individuals. The methodology used in the software was Feature-Driven Development (FDD). It was composed of the following phases: Develop an overall model, build a Feature list, Plan by Feature, Design by Feature and Build by Feature. The software developed has the following features: user account module, content module, communication module, assessment module and report module. user account module includes the management of different account depend on the level of access of users. Content module includes the topics and lessons from the syllabus. Communication module consists of forum and announcement module, forum module includes the discussion part between students and instructors, while announcement module includes posting of news by the Admin, students can only view the announcement. Assessment module includes the creation of quiz by the instructors and taking quiz by the students. For the report module, it includes the generation of list of instructors, list of students and list of grade of students based on their assessment. The system has three level of access: Administrator, instructor and student. Each user has its own page, and individual username and password. Development of e-learning system for Philippine Literature subject was developed under Apache as server, PHP as programming language, HTML as scripting language and MySQL for database. Microsoft Office 2007 was used for the documentation and diagrams.
