Abstract: GABALFIN, JULIUS CARL It., MEDINA, CARL JUSTIN U. Design of Water Supply System of Poblacion, Tanza, Cavite. Undergraduate Design Project.Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite.April 2015. Adviser: Engr. Renato B. Cubilla The design project was conducted from July 2014 to February 2015. It was evaluated on February 2015 at the College of Engineering and Information Technology. The proposed design of the new water supply system of Poblacion, Tanza, Cavite intended to investigate the existing pipelines and water ways with the use of the data from the Tanta. Water District. The design recommended how to improve in order to satisfy the water consumption demand for the upcoming years. This studyincluded the design of an elevated concrete reservoir, improved pipe network, design of pump capacity and pump house. It provided the necessary documents such as status of existing water supply system of Poblacion, Tanza, Cavite for the data required for hydraulic analyses, design and computation of concrete reservoir, and water distribution system The reinforced concrete design of concrete reservoir was based on the output of Structural Aided Analysis and Design (STAAD), the standard recommendations based on the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP), and the ACI Code and specification for the Ultimate Stress Design (USD). The principle and considerations in designing the concrete reservoir were safe and economical. The average water demand of the consumers was satisfied by using the new ater supply system. Based on the results of the study, the design of the improved water supply system including the elevated concrete reservoir was proven safe, economical, and sufficient enough to sustain the water demand of Poblacion until year 2020. For further improvement of this study, the authors recommended detailed investigation of the site and application of hydraulics and design principles.
