Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Dr. Marissa C. Lontoc. The study was conducted from May 2016 to May 2017, to assess the impact of barangay crime prevention program in Indang, Cavite. Specifically, the study aimed to: identify the impact of barangay crime prevention program to the program implementers and residents of Indang, Cavite; and determine the significant difference between the assessment of program implementers and residents on the impact of barangay crime prevention program. Descriptive research method was used in the study. The participants were composed of 375, 10 barangays officials and 15 residents from each selected barangay in Indang, Cavite. A self-made survey questionnaire that assess the barangay crime prevention program perceived by the participants. Based on the result of the study, the computed P-value of human security, institutional capacity to manage, political structure, economic structure and social reconstruction and empowerment were .003, .004, .000, .005, 028 levels respectively. Therefore, the null hypothesis of there is a significant difference on the assessment of barangay crime prevention program between barangay implementers and residents of Indang were rejected. The researchers concluded that the barangay implementers perceived that crime prevention program has a great impact on them most especially on their work. On the other hand, residents also found out that program had an influence on them because it gives them protection.
