This study was conducted on January 2017 to March 2017 in different cities of Cavite namely; Dasmarinas City, General Trias City, Imus City, Bacoor City, Tagaytay City, Trece Martires City. Specifically, the study aimed to (1) What are the challenges and coping faced by selected PWDs in the context of family life? The participants were chosen using purposive sampling technique. Minor Model of Disability was used in theoretical framework. This model views disability as a social construction where the judgments made about a person are constructed by others in society. This study utilized a qualitative research design to discover and understand the challenges experienced by PWDs in the context of family life. Qualitative methods can be used to better Understand any phenomenon about which little is yet to know as well as gaining more in-depth information that may be difficult to convey quantitatively. Narrative research design seeks to develop rich descriptive writing using the participant's own words. After gathering data, the researchers found that the participants usually experience financial problems and the lack of benefits that they should receive from the government. The participants were having a great faith in God, and they were showing an optimistic personality in coping with their problems in life. Their inspiration in life was their family and specially their children. Main trend and patterns in the data with reference 10 research questions were described and summarized. The prominent themes or issues have been identified; the researchers sorted out the data, conceptualized and coded them. Interpretations were made from the data. The recommendations were measured by the research findings.
