Abstract: DILLO, VERONICA JOYCE K, GATUZ, ANGELICA MARIE G. Coming Out: Parental Support, Social Stigma and Self-Esteem of Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Youth in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang. May 2018. Thesis Adviser: Mary Jane A. Amparo, RPrn. The study was conducted from August 2017 to May 2018 at Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. This study aimed to determine the level of parental support, social stigma and self-esteem of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth in Dasmarinas City, Cavite. This study also aimed to determine if there was a significant relationship between the parental support, social stigma and self-esteem of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth, and also, the difference of parental support, social stigma and self-esteem of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth to one another. The study used correlation-comparative as research design, Frequency and mean was used to know the level of parental support, social stigma and self-esteem of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth. Correlational statistical tool was used to determine the relationship between parental support, social stigma and self-esteem of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth which is Spearman Correlational Coefficient while in determining the difference between parental support, social stigma and self-esteem of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth, ANOVA was the statistical tool used in this study, The findings of the study showed that the mean scores of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth for parental support falls under average level same with social stigma and self-esteem of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth which also falls under the average level. It was revealed that there was no relationship between parental support and social stigma of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth. There was a relationship between the parental support and self-esteem of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth. There is also a relationship between the social stigma and self-esteem of lesbian and bisexual youth. The findings also showed that there is no significant difference between the parental support of lesbian, gay and bisexual youth. For the difference of social stigma it showed that there was a significant difference and also for the difference of self-esteem it showed that there was a significant difference.
