Abstract: AURE, MARIGRACE I. and DEL MUNDO, RENILYN A Utilization of Crushed Demolished. Concrete as Coarse Aggregate in the Production of Concrete. Undregraduate Research Project. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Cavite State University,Indang, Cavite. April 2004.Adviser: Engr. Renato B. Cubilla The Utilization of Crushed Demolished Concrete as Coarse Aggregate in the Production of Concrete was conducted at College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University, from June 2003 to February 2004. It was evaluated in February 2004 at the Old Engineering Building. The general objective of the study were: to determine if crushed demolished concrete can be used as alternative coarse aggregate in the production of concrete: enhance the authors' knowledge in determining the unit weight of cement, fine and coarse aggregates; enhance the authors' knowledge in nutting, curing and testing concrete; compare the workability and compressive strength of concrete using demolished concrete as coarse aggregate to the concrete made of commercial coarse aggregate; determine better class of mixture that will give greater strength when using demolished concrete aggregate in the production of concrete; and determine and compare the cost. Of one cubic meter (1 m3) concrete using demolished concrete as coarse aggregate to that of concrete made of commercial coarse aggregate. The significance of the study “Utilization of Demolished Concrete as Coarse Aggregate in the Production of Concrete " serves the administration and fellow students as a reference to determine how demolished concrete aggregates affect in the strength and workability of concrete and to determine which class of mixture will give greater strength when using demolished concrete aggregate.
