Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University-Imus, Campus, Imus City Cavite. Adviser: Mr. Howard Castillo. The study entitled "Demographic Characteristics, Risk-Taking Behavior, and Parental Guidance of Selected Senior High School Students of Imus Institute" endeavored to establish the correlation between the parental guidance and the risk-taking behavior of senior high school students in Imus Institute. It also sought to determine the association of the risk-taking behavior particularly cigarette smoking and alcohol consumption. This qualitative study made use of a non-experimental design, specifically descriptive correlational. It employed the three-stage stratified random, systematic sampling technique under the probability sampling design to get the needed sample population out of the target population group, particularly the senior high school students in Imus Institute. A self-made questionnaire was developed, validated, and utilized in the data gathering, consisting of three main parts: the demographic characteristics of students, perceived parental guidance and the risk-taking behavior. The following were the results obtained from the study: In terms of the demographic characteristics of the student participants, most of them were 15 years old and above. Based on gender there was an almost equal population distribution.
