Design and Development of a PC-Based 741-Series Operational Amplifiers, LM339 and LM311 Comparators and 74-Series Logic Gates Integrated Circuit Checker. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2005. Adviser: Engr. Michael T. Costa. The design and development of a PC-Based 741-Series Operational Amplifiers, LM339 and LM311 Comparators and 74-Series Logic Gates Integrated Circuit Checker was constructed at the proponent's dormitory at Brgy. Bancod, Indang, Cavite from December 2004 to April 2005. The design was embodied by the general objective which is to design and develop a PC-based 741-series operational amplifiers, LM339 and LM311 comparators and 74-series logic gates integrated circuit checker. The project was composed of an integrated circuit (IC) checker circuit which checks the IC inserted at the IC socket and a level converter interfacing the device to the computer for its visual output. The project was introduced to the proponent's adviser and technical critic during the preliminary evaluation at the New Engineering Building on May 16, 2005. It was done by presenting the actual device. Pilot testing was not implemented because the students are in vacation. The checker did not meet its one objective which is to test a comparator. However, after the proponents solved the problem, the final evaluation was done on May 19, 2005 at the New Engineering Building. The project underwent a series of testing and evaluation to guarantee its effectiveness.
