I-eyes de Indias del Cavite: The Evolution of Laws of the Indies Type of Town Planning in Selected Cities and Municipalities in the Province of Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2017. Adviser: Arch't. Kenn Paolo C. Valero. A study was conducted to describe the evolution of laws of the Indies type of town planning in selected cities and municipalities in the Cavite. The primary data used in the study were gathered through interviews with the residents and government officials of the selected cities and municipalities, namely: Bacoor, Indang, and Tanza from December 2016 to May 2017. Majority of the respondents were middle-aged. The participants answered that the usual reason why the city evolved was due to political aspects. The respondents have identified that the advantages of the plan evolutions was the increase of commercial/non-commercial establishments in the area. Majority of the participants answered that main disadvantage of the evolution was the transfer of the Municipal and public market and being congested and crowded. Majority of respondent preferred present town planning due to being more modernized and well-developed, where roads improved and became more accessible for transportation especially in Indang. Time passes, the original plan of the laws of the Indies evolves in the selected cities and municipalities in Cavite namely: Bacoor, Indang and Tanza. The researchers d0cumented and presented these changes by the use of images with legends, time line and graphs to show the years where the evolution occurred.
