A three-month enterprise development project was operated from January 10 to February 24, 2017 at Brgy. 2 Mojica Street, Alfonso, Cavite and relocated the business at enterprise development center (EDP) at Cavite State University — University Mall, Indang, Cavite on Feb. 27 to April 6, 2017. The objective of the project was to expose students in real life business environment and to apply the knowledge in business management through practical applications of the theories. The conduct of the project specifically aimed to describe the strategies that were used in producing and marketing the Hammy Tummy products, determine the profitability of snack bar business and identify the problems that may be encountered in operating the business and suggest feasible solution. The products that the entrepreneurs offered were rice roll, dumplings (chicken, pork & tuna), and hotdog waffle. They also offered shake that served different flavors like choco fudge, double dutch, cookies n' cream, mango, strawberry, buko pandan and ube. The capital investment of P30, 000.00 was shared equally by the entrepreneurs. A total of P25, 000.00 was initially used to purchase raw materials, pay for transportation, promotional expense, tools and equipment, supplies and repairs and maintenance of the store. The business generated a total gross sales of P58,441.00 which yield a net income of P18,786.20 or equivalent to 62.62 %. Problem in the procurement of raw materials, production of products, time management, customer's relation, sudden change of weather, cancellation of classes and competition with other stores and entrepreneurs were among the problems encountered. Through this enterprise development project, the entrepreneurs have fully developed their entrepreneurial, social, personal, and decision making skills in managing the business.
