Abstract: MARASIGAN, KEVIN MARK E. and VILLALON, KEVIN JHON N., Proposed Design of our Four Storey Government Center Building in Brgy Kaybagal South, Tagaytay City. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Cavite State University- Main Campus. Indang, Cavite. June 2018. Adviser: Engr. Roslyn P. Pena. The study entitled "Proposed Design of Four Storey Government Center Building in Brgy. Kaybagal South, Tagaytay City" was conducted from October 2017 to May 2018 at Cavite State University. The study aimed to prepare a design of a four-storey Government Center Building in Brgy. Kaybagal South, Tagaytay City. Specifically, the objectives of this study are as follows: to provide an architectural plan and structural plan of the proposed building; to provide a structural analysis and design of the structure; to provide the electrical and plumbing layout; and to provide the detailed cost estimate and specifications of the proposed building of the study. The proposed government center has a total floor area of 4806. 625 square meters and a floor area of 1192.75 square meters. The total height of the proposed building was 17.20 meters. With the aid of the Engineering Software STAAD (Structural Aided Analysis and Design), the analysis of the individual structural member of the proposed building was obtained. The structural design of the building was done following the guidelines and procedures of the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP) which served as the basis in the design computation. The purlins was C 65 x 30 x 15 x 4.5 with 10 mmø bars for sag rod. For truss 1, the top chord was 2L 75 x 75 x 5, 2L 75 x 75 x 8 for bottom chord and 2L 75 x 75 x I 0 for web member: for truss 2, the top chord was 2L 40 x 40 x 3, 2L 40 x 40 x 6 for bottom chord and 2L 40 x 40 x 5 for web member. The adopted section for beam1 and beam2 50mm for the tie was 300mm x 500mm. 200mm x 300mm for roof beam and 175mm X 2 has a dimension of 40Ornm x 400mm and reinforced with 12 — 25 mm beam. Columns bars and 10 mm 0 tie wires. The slabs have a thickness of 150 mm and reinforced with 12 mm 0 main bars and 10 mm 0 temperature bars. Footing 1 was designed with dimension of 2.60 m x 2.60 m and depth of 400 mm; and footing 2 was designed with dimension of 3.00 m x 3.00 m and depth of 500 mm. It was found out that the proposed government center cost about Php 33,584,410.37, including labor, materials and equipment, including the electrical and plumbing cost, which has a Php 6,987.11 per square meter. In conclusion, based on the analysis, computation, design and details of the structural members provided, the section, dimensions and materials specified by the study were safe. The authors recommended that future researchers may construct the detailed plan of the electrical and plumbing layout in particular with the details and section plan of the catch basin and septic tank for the development and improvement of the proposal.
