Effects Of The Different Amount of Chicken Manure on the Growth and Yield Of Gabi Intercropped with Sweet Corn and Bush Sitao Under Upland Condition. Major Adviser: VICENTE G. LONTOC. This study was conducted to determine the effects of different levels of chicken manure on the growth and yield of gabi under monocropping 9 and intercropping scheme; evaluate the effect of different levels of chicken manure and intercrops on the growth and yield of gabi; and identify the most suitable intercrops on the growth and yield of gabi. A 3x 4 factorial experiment in Randomized Complete Block Design was used in the study with chicken manure levels on the main plot and intercropping combination on the sub-plot. Although different amounts of chicken manure application significantly affect growth and yield of gabi in almost al} parameters studied, “4,000 kilograms per hectare treated plants clearly indicated promising performance and increased yield both on the monocrop) and intercrop cropping pattern. Gabi intercrop with bush sitao appears to be promising regardless of chicken manure levels studies. However, the combination of gabi + bush sitao with chicken manure of 4,000 kilograms per hectare recorded the highest net income. So to obtain the highest possible income per unit area, a combination of gabi + sweet corn + bush sitao fertilizer with well rotted chicken manure at the rate of 4,000 kilograms per hectare should be followed. .
