Abstract: BASISTER, EXEQUIL S., NAPA, SUNSHINE R. Information Dissemination Strategies on Solid Waste Management of Cavite State University. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Arts in Journalism Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. May 2018. Adviser: Allan Robert C. Solis. This study was conducted to identify the information dissemination strategies on solid waste management of Cavite State University. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the tools used for information dissemination on solid waste management of Cavite State University; the level of exposure and awareness of selected participants to the existing information dissemination strategies on solid waste management of CvSU and its relationship; the assessments of selected participants to the information dissemination strategies on solid waste management of CvSU in terms of: content; layout; and accessibility; and the assessments of selected participants on the layout of the printed information dissemination materials on solid waste management of Cavite State. The study used descriptive method of research. It was supported by qualitative and quantitative approach. Qualitative phase was conducted through interviews with the CvSU pollution control officer and the co-implementer of the CvSU Solid Waste Management Project. Results gathered through quantitative approach were tallied, with participants comprised of 10 administrative staff; 10 non-academic staff; 10 concessionaires; 95 faculty members from different colleges in CvSU; and 100 students from different colleges in CvSU using a survey questionnaire. The findings of the study were used to identify the information dissemination strategies on solid waste management of CvSU. Based on the results, the tools for information dissemination strategies on solid waste management used by CvSU included seminars, flyers/brochures, stickers, tarpaulins, newsletters, posters and audio-visual presentations. Consequently, this study is being recommended to Cavite State University, specifically to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources of College of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Natural Resources and Office of the Research Extension, Continuing Education and Training Services; the CvSU Solid Waste Management Project to utilize the results of the study; to AB Journalism students; to future researchers; and to the CvSU community to engage in the aforementioned project.
