Abstract: DAGUISONAN, EAROL JAMES S. Backyard Hog Fattening in Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City, Cavite, an Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Dr. Magdalena N. Alcantara. This project was conducted at Barangay Aguado,Trece Martires City, Cavite, from December 07, 2018 to March 25, 2019, for the student entrepreneur to enhance his knowledge and skills in swine production, experience actual raising of hogs and gain profit from the fattened hogs. The eight (8) hogs were accorded the proper care and management during the 108 days rearing period. The hog had an average initial weight of 13.25 kg and an average final body weight of 87.38 kg. This means that the hogs had gained 74.13 kg each, equivalent to an average daily gain of 686 g. The hogs consumed an average of 200 kg of feeds and exhibited a feed efficiency of 2.70. The total cost of P78,342.6 was used in operation. The net income was P9,353.40 with the return on investment (ROI) of 11.94 percent. The project has its breakeven point at 78.34 kg, equivalent to P 9,792.70.
