Abstract: PENUS, ANABELLE DE LA CRUZ. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Cavite State University, College of Engineering, Indang, Cavite, March 2000 "Design of Collection System for Solid Waste Management Adviser: Engr. Allan Rowel Alonalon. The study "Design of Collection System for Solid Waste Management" was conducted to identify and develop a Collection System for Solid Waste Management at Cavite State University. Specifically, the study aims to: to define what is Solid Waste Management, to identify the problems of garbage collection of the Cavite State University, to develop prospective site of solid waste collection, and to further improve the existing solid waste collection in CVSU, thus, with hope of improving environmental condition. Although several obstacles were encountered during the course of the study, it is expected that the result will provide a baseline for effective system of collecting waste management. In addition, if proven effective the system could be disseminated to other communities, localities, thus problems of waste disposal will be lessened.
