Abstract: VIDALLO ALEXIS V. Backyard Hog Fattening in Brgy. Sabang, Naic, Cavite: An Entrepreneurial Development Project. Bachelor of Agricultural Entrepreneurship Major in Animal Production. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Dr. Cristina F. Olo, Ph.D. The project was conducted at Sabang Naic, Cavite from December 13, 2018 to March 20, 2019. This project enabled the student — entrepreneur to develop and acquire skills and knowledge in backyard hog fattening, acquire managerial skills in hog raising and gain profit from the project. The project started with weanlings weighing 11.5 kg. They were fed 50 kg starter pellet, 100 kg grower pellet and 50 kg finisher pellet. Feeding was done twice a day for the first week and thrice a day for the rest of the production. The cleaning of pen, bathing of stocks and collection of manure was done twice a day. After 98 days of rearing the fattened four hogs, the hogs gained an average weight of 90.5 kg with an average feed consumption of 200 kg and average feed conversion efficiency of 2.53. The project invested P 39,410.80 for the cost of stocks, feeds and miscellaneous. The project gained a net income of P 4,189.20 and the return of investment was 10.62%.
