Abstract: COSTELO, RODNEY A., DELA CRUZ, ANDREW A., and TOLICA, PELLINOR O" Propose Steel Design of a Three Storey Research Center Building" Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2002 Adviser: Eng' r'. Marcelino A. Dagasdas Jr. The main objective of the study is to conduct a structural steel design and analysis of a three storey Research Center Building The design of the Research Center Building was conducted at the Cavite State University. The analysis of the building frames and truss was made through the aid of the Structural Aid in Analysis and Design (STA AD Ill). This software basically analyzed the linear behavior of the building. The design was made manually including the different drawings, plans and elevation. Base on the present situation, the center needs offices, conference rooms and laboratory rooms for tissue culture, physical analysis, chemical knowledge in steel designing and being a part of the fast-moving technologies in which every structure should be constructed using the most economical and safe materials. This proposed design will enable the College of Engineering to comply with the accreditation requirements set by the Accredited Agency for Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP). This design provides large spaces for the laboratory classes and lecture classes as well, including the wide and large space for the large laboratory
