A three-month field Study was conducted at Gourmet Farms, Inc., a producer of Organic vegetables, coffee and herbal tea, located at km 52 Lalaan 11, Silang, Cavite. It aimed to provide the trainee the chance to apply her’ gained knowledge in agribusiness management in the actual situation. During the whole duration of the study, problems were identified and feasible solutions were recommended.
It was observed that the farm requirements needed in the maintenance and sustainability of operations requested from Makati are delayed most of the time. For the farm to have a continuous Operation, good communication between the top management (main office) and farm personnel should be developed | which could be done through an open forum or dialogue. .
Seed wastage is another Problem of the company. GF should provide a sealed container or tins for seeds and a separate room storage.
Renovation/repair of greenhouses should be done and damaged nets must be replaced.
