Abstract: CASIPE, MA. TERESA M. and MARIE RACHELLE Q. VILLANUEVA, Proposed Design of a Human Kinetic Building at the Cavite State University, Rosario Campus. Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2003. Adviser: Engr. Marcelino A. Dagasdas Jr. The proposed steel and concrete design of Human Kinetic Building at the Cavite State University, Rosario Campus was conducted at the Cavite State University main campus from July 2002 to April 2003. It was evaluated in December 2002 at the Accreditation Room, Department of Civil Engineering, College of Engineering and Information Technology. The design of structural members was based on the Structural Analysis and Design software (STAAD — Ill) output, the specifications set by the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP), American Concrete Institute (ACI) code and the codes and specifications for Ultimate Stress Design. The authors enhanced, developed and applied the skills and knowledge in various aspects of structural design and analysis. The general objective of the proposed project was to develop and design a Human Kinetic Building at the Cavite State University, Rosario campus. The detailed architectural plans were developed through the suggestions and recommendations of the members of the panel and the administration of Cavite State University. Structural plans were based from the result of actual computation in which all structural members were checked for strength, stability and economy. The standard specifications for the entire proposed project were based on the requirements as specified in the scope of works and other existing codes in the Philippines. The cost estimates were computed based on the architectural and structural plans and the required scope of works. The material costs were based on the present price in the
