The proposed Design of Steel Tower for Communication System of Cavite State University was conducted at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Cavite State University, from June 2002 to January 2003. It was evaluated in January 2003 at the Old Engineering Building.
The analysis of the tower was made through the aid of the Structural Aid in Analysis and Design III (STAAD III). This software basically analyzed the linear behavior of the structure.
The general objectives of the study were: to design a steel tower for communication system of Cavite State University: to enhance the authors' knowledge in designing a steel communication tower; to conduct analysis and design of the tower; to provide architectural and structural plans and detailed specifications; and to develop a miniature scaled model of steel communication tower.
If adopted and implemented, the communications technology of Cavite State University will improve and become effective in the field of communication and information and will serve as a landmark of Cavite State University.
