Abstract: DIMAPILIS, FRITZIE GAY N. MMG International Holdings co., Ltd. Tagaytay Branch. Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Economics. Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2002. Adviser: Dr. Luzviminda A. Rodrin. A field study was conducted to enhance the trainee's business insights; improve the skills of the trainee through actual participation in the firm; identify problems encountered by the firm and recommend solutions to the problems identified. The field study was conducted at B/Dv'1G International Holdings Co., Ltd. Tagaytay Branch located at Mendez Crossing, Tagaytay City from November 5, 2001, to January 31, 2002. The data were gathered through observation and interview with the Area Directors, Marketing Manager, Account and Documentation Manager and other staff. Other needed information were obtained from the files and records of the company. NWIG International Holdings Co., Ltd. is a holdings institution that serves as the mother company of various services and trading firms strategically located here and abroad. It is also into capital investment marketing for its diversified businesses. It was observed that the major concern of the company is to create wealth for their capitalists and the country by engaging in diversified businesses. Also, it provides leeway for the capitalists to prudently allocate their financial resources to the most productive investments. Another concern is to provide goods, quality services, and employment opportunities through continued expansion of its products and markets. The company is equally committed to maintain high profit growth in its diversified businesses. Works assigned to the trainee at the Documentation Department include clerical works, filing of contracts like Memorandum of Agreement, preparing and filing deposit slips and transfer of capital, photocopying necessary documents, preparing necessary reports to be submitted to higher authorities, sending fax messages to the main office and other branches of the company, preparing capitalists' contracts and checks, recording investments made, and stamping postdated checks. Its policies are well-planned and well-organized. However, the company is constrained with a problem on the slow processing of documents which caused some delays in the preparation of reports and other transactions. It is, therefore, recommended that MMG International Holdings Co., Ltd. should have systematic filing of documents to monitor other important transactions ahead of them and to avoid loss of other important documents. The Account and documentation Department should also immediately prepare and pass requisition forms upon receipt of requisitions of office supplies. This is to avoid delays in office transactions and preparation of contracts of capitalists.
