The project aimed to: (1) produce different leafy vegetables in raised beds using organic fertilizer; (2) produce leafy vegetables for short term of planting; (3) help student develop knowledge and skills in managing leafy vegetables production in raised beds; and (4) determine which of the leafy vegetables can grow well in raised bed.. The production project involving leafy vegetables such as arugula, Chinese kangkong, red and green lettuce, and wansoy was conducted from September 2004 to January 2005. Leafy vegetables were planted in raised beds fertilized with compost and were managed following the recommended cultural production and management practices such as land preparation, sowing, transplanting, weeding and cultivation, fertilization, irrigation, staking, application of compost, control of pests and diseases, harvesting, and marketing. Leafspot acid leaf worms were observed attacking kangkong plants, but these was insignificant damaged caused by this insect and disease due to spraying of soap solution and pesticide. The project obtained a gross income amounted to P 6,830.00. After deducting the total expenses, the project obtained a net income of P 2,736 . The project can be considered profitable based on the Return on Investment (ROI) obtained which was 67 percent
