Abstract: FELIPE, AILEEN C. AND GONZAGA, JONA BELLE T. Feasibility of offering BA Film in Cavite State University. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Alts in Journalism. Cavite State University — Main Campus, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Prof. Lisette D. Mendoza. The study was conducted to determine the feasibility of offering BA Film in Cavite State University. The research was conducted from November 2018 to March 2019. The researchers conducted interviews with the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, chairperson of Department of Languages and Mass Communication, and to the Accounting and Budget Office represented by its Finance Director. Interviews were necessary in determining the feasibility of offering BA Film program on areas such as Faculty, Facility, and Budget. An adapted survey questionnaire was also answered by the Journalism instructors to determine their perception on the benefits of offering the said program, The study revealed that the offering of BA Film in CvSU was not feasible because as of now there is no faculty who has a degree in Film. Also, facilities like film laboratories are not available. Though, the idea of having a Film Program was quite interesting, more research should be done. When it comes to budget, result shows that CvSU can provide the budget for new programs, but it should be approved by the Academic Council and funded research must be done because the BA Film program requires costly facilities and equipment As for the Journalism faculty's perception, it vwas found out that they Strongly agreed on the benefits of film making.
