Abstract: CABELLO, MIRRA ROSE R. Exposure to and Effectiveness of Front Row in Promoting Social Issues as Perceived by Mass Communication Students Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication major in Journalism. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. March 2013. Adviser: Mr. Allan Robert C. Solis. The study was conducted at Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite from November 2012-March 2013. It aimed to: 1) determine the level of exposure to Front Row according to: frequency of watching the show; and percentage of the show being watched; 2) determine the effectiveness of Front Row in promoting social issues; and 3) determine the relationship between the level of exposure to and effectiveness of Front Row in promoting social issues as perceived by Mass Communication students. The research design used was descriptive method. Purposive Sampling was employed for the participants of the study. The statistical measures applied were frequency count, percentage and Pearson's Correlation coefficient. Out of 302 participants, 105 Mass Communication students are aware to Front Row. The results showed that majority watched Front Row once a month with 39 participants while the percentage of the show being watched is full show which means highly exposed. The effectiveness of Front Row in promoting social issues is also highly effective. Based on the results, there is no relationship between the level of exposure to and effectiveness of Front Row in promoting social issues.
