Abstract: ANDAM, NIGEL P., LANGIT, CHRISTIAN P. and LOSABIO, RAUL ROMAN B. AUTOMATED VEHICLE MONITORING SYSTEM USING PLATE NUMBER RECOGNITION CAMERA FOR CAVITE STATE UNIVERSITY MAIN CAMPUS. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. June 2019. Adviser: Ms. Ria Clarisse L. Mojica. This study was conducted from August 2018 to April 2019 at Cavite State University - Main Campus. The purpose of the study was to recognize the registered and unregistered four-wheeled vehicles entering the University by displaying recognized vehicle’ plate number and information using image processing. Extreme Programming was used as the methodology of the system. To implement the plate number recognition feature analysis of the system, the OpenALPR Library was used. 25 Instructors from the Department of Information Technology and 5 Security Personnel from Cavite State University evaluated the system. The results were collected through an evaluation form based on ISO 9216. According to the overall evaluation results, the system was judged to be excellent in all software quality criteria such as functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. Upon the completion of the study, the proponents concluded that this would help the security personnel from gate 1 recognized the registered and unregistered vehicles that enter the University.
