Abstract: VICEDO, BABY LYN T); Don Geverino Agricultural College, lndang, Cavite, April, 1994. "Response of Growing Broiler to Spent Grain Supplementation", Adviser: Dr. Danilo R. Escano. Ninety six day-old straight-run commercial broiler chicks were used in a study to evaluate their performance characteristics when fed with a mixture of Broiler Finisher Mash (BFM) and spent grains and determine the level by which spent grains could be incorporated in broiler finisher rations. REM Results showed that birds fed with a mixture of 80% BFM + 20% Spent Grains had significantly higher seven-week average body weight, converted feeds more had higher Income Over Feed and Chick Cost efficiently and value than birds in other treatments. Differences observed in the seven-week average cumulative feed consumption were insignificant (P < 0.05). No mortality was observed throughout the entire period of the experiment.
