Abstract: ABE, MARGARITA CASTILLO, Don Severino Agricultural ge, Indang, Cavite, April 1996. "Growth Performance of d Chrysanthemum as Influenced by Varying Amounts of Chicken Manure Tea Under Drip and Mist-Applicator Irrigation System". Adviser: Engr. Renato B. Cubilla This study entitled "Growth Performance of Potted Chrysanthemum as Influenced by Varying Amounts of Chicken e Tea Under Drip and Mist-Applicator Irrigation System" was conducted at the greenhouse of Crop Science Department of the Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, e. Generally, this study was conducted to determine growth performance of potted chrysanthemum as influenced by varying amounts of chicken manure tea under drip and mist applicator irrigation system. A 2 x 4 factorial experiment arranged in split plot design replicated five was used in this study. Forty (40) sample plants were and observed in this experiment. Factor A of the experiment were the two types of irrigation system, that is, irrigation system (Al), and mist-applicator irrigation m (A2). Factor B consisted of the following: B0 -control (0 ml), Bl - 50 ml, B2 - 100 ml, and B3 - 150 ml of chicken manure tea. of Results of this study revealed that the varying levels chicken manure tea had significant effects on chrysanthemum in terms of plant height, number of days after trans planting to flower bud formation, total number of flowers, average root length and the depth of irrigation. The type of irrigation has significant effects on chrysanthemum in terms of plant height, number of days after planting to flower bud formation, total number of flowers, average root length, and the total depth of irrigation. Significant effects of interaction between these two factors were observed in chrysanthemum in terms of plant height and total number of flowers. Specifically, it was found out that the most suitable application of chicken manure tea was 150 ml (B3) under drip irrigation system. Results also showed that chicken manure tea can be applied to chrysanthemum through the system of fertigation.
