Abstract: BUENAOBRA, CHRISTINE T., Level of Awareness and Acceptance of Sex Education Program among Teenage Mothers in Selected Barangays in Pasay City. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University. April 2011. Thesis Adviser: Ms. Joy G. Novero. The study entitled "Level of Awareness and Acceptance of Sex Education Program among Teenage Mothers in Selected Barangays in Pasay City" was conducted to : 1) Determine the level of awareness of the respondents on sex education program; 2) Determine the level of acceptance of the respondents on sex education program; and 3) Determine the significant relationship between level of awareness and level of acceptance of the respondents on sex education program. The descriptive correlational design was utilized in this study. This method was used to describe the level of awareness of the respondents as well as their level of acceptance. This design was also used to describe the correlation of level of awareness and level of acceptance of the respondents. This study involved teenage mothers in selected barangays in Pasay City. The respondents were ninety five (95). Thirty one (31) from brgy. 145, two (2) from brgy. 146, eight (8) from brgy. 147, thirteen (13) from brgy. 148, nineteen (19) from brgy. 187, four (4) from brgy. 188, five (5) from brgy. 189 and thirteen (13) from brgy. 190. Ninety five (95) were randomly selected to be the respondents. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the respondents' level of awareness is at a high level and the level of acceptance was average. Finally, the level of awareness has a significant relationship in determining the respondents' level of acceptance on sex education program.
