GAMPON, ROWENA P., Applied Research IV ( Agricultural Science Curriculum), Don Severino Agricultural College, Indang, Cavite. YIELD OF MUSHROOM (Volvariella volvacea) AS AFFECTED BY SUGAR AND UREA. Adviser: Mr. Epifanio Feraer
The study was conducted to determine the effect of sugar and urea on the yield of mushroom and to find out which concentration of sugar and urea is best suited for growth and yield of mushroom.
The different treatments were arranged following the Split-plot design with three replications.
The treatments were as follow:
Main Plot: ‘different Concentrations of Urea
U1 - 10 grams urea per gallon of water
U2 - 20 grams urea per gallon of water
U3 - 30 grams urea per gallon of water
Subplot: MDifferent Concentrations of Sugar
SO - no sugar
S1 - 30 grams sugar per gallon of water
S2 - 35 prams sugar per gallon of water
S3 = 40 grams sugar per gallon of water
The result of the study are:
1. Yield of mushroom increased with the application of sugar and urea.
2. Among the different concentrations of urea and sugar used ,U3 (30 grams urea) and S3 (40 grams sugar) were best suited for the growth and yield of mushrooms.
