Abstract: MANGUERA, GEE MARIELLE G. Faculty Development Expenditures and Performance Levels of Elementary and High School Teachers of Private Schools in General Trias, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Financial Management. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. November 2012. Adviser: Prof. Estrellita D. Corpuz. The study was conducted to determine the relationship of faculty development expenditure and performance levels of elementary and high school teachers at private schools in General Trias, Cavite. Specifically, it aimed to: determine the profile of the elementary and high school teachers of the private schools: age, gender, educational attainment, years of teaching, subjects being handled, monthly salary, seminars, training attended in the last two years; determine the allocated budget of private schools for their faculty development activities; determine the performance level of the elementary and high school teachers; determine the relationship of instructors' profile to their performance levels; determine the relationship of the faculty development expenditures and the performance levels of the elementary and high school teachers. This is a descriptive correlation study based on primary data which involved investigating, recording, analyzing and interpreting of data and other information gathered. Statistical tools such frequency count and percentage, arithmetic mean and standard deviation and weighted mean, Point-Biserial Correlation, Spearman Rank Correlation, Chi-Square, Contingency Coefficient, Degree of Freedom. Tables were used in this study as visual representation of the collected data. The results confirmed that there was a significant relationship between profile of the teachers specifically educational attainment and performance level. This study also proved that based on the data gathered, there was no relationship between the faculty development expenditure and performance levels of the elementary and high school teachers at private schools in General Trias, Cavite.
