Abstract: BAGO, ARMINE M. Profile, Teaching Efficiency and Home Management Effectiveness of Mother-Teachers in Public Elementary Schools in District Il, Indang, Cavite. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University April 2009. Thesis Adviser: Teresa Q. Amarille. The study aimed to determine the demographic profile, level of teaching efficiency and level of home management of the mother-teachers in public elementary schools in District I, Indang, Cavite. It also aimed to determine if there is a significant relationship between the demographic profile and teaching efficiency of the mother teachers. This study also aimed to determine if there is a significant relationship between the demographic profile and home management of the respondents. Lastly, it aimed to determine if there is a significant relationship between the teaching efficiency and home management of the mother-teachers. The researcher used the descriptive-correlational research design. Purposive sampling method was used to identify the respondents of this study. The respondents of this study were the mother-teachers and the. school administrators of the public elementary schools in District I, Indang, Cavite. There were two sets of questionnaire: the 20-item ‘Teaching Efficiency Rating Scale which was answered by the school administrators and the 50-item Home Management Activities Performance Evaluation — it has five indicators: relationship with the husband, care of the children, meal planning and preparation, family relation and socialization and care and maintenance of the home - which was answered by the mother-teachers. The data that were gathered were subjected to statistical test. The formula for mean and percentage were used to complete the ratio of majority and minority of the response and to determine the proportion of the distribution of the respondents. The Spearman Rank was used in the correlation method while Point Biserial was used in getting the degree of relationship between two variables where one variable is continuous such as the test score and the other dichotomous nominal variables. Based on the results of the study, most of the mother-teachers belonged to the age bracket of 30 to 39 years old, many of them has MA units, has 2 to 3 children, most of them teach in their present school for 1 to 5 years, earns P11, 000 to P15, 000 a month and ranked as Teacher The results of the study also showed that the mother-teachers have a high level of teaching efficiency with a mean of 82.31 and a very high level of home management with a mean of 4.29. The data also revealed that there is no significant relationship between the demographic profile and teaching efficiency of the mother-teachers. There is also no significant relationship between the demographic and home management of the respondents. Lastly, the results showed that there is no significant relationship between teaching efficiency and home management of the mother-teachers.
