Abstract: CARANDANG, LLENA GRACE C. PSi Technologies, Incorporated. Undergraduate Field Study. Bachelor of Science in Business Management, major in Economics. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2010. Adviser: Prof. Estrellita D. Corpuz. A three-month field study was conducted at PSi Technologies Laguna, Inc. located at Carmelray Industial Park II, Barangay Tulo, Calamba, Laguna. The study aimed to enhance the student's knowledge and skills through actual work in the company. It also aimed to describe the organization and management of the firm, to describe the products offered by the company and to identify the problems encountered by the firm and recommend solutions. The study focused on the major aspects of the firm, which include management, organization, service, marketing and finance. It presented the activities performed by the firm and observations made during the conduct of the study. Relevant data were gathered through observations, personal interviews with the personnel of the firm and actual participation on the firm's activities. Additional information and instructions were gathered through company manuals and its website (www.psitechnologies.com). The company is engaged in the trade or business of importing, exporting, servicing, selling (on wholesale basis only) and dealing with the products like, but not limited to, all products of PSi Technologies, Inc. such as power and non-power semiconductor assembly and test services. The company offers package design, assembly, and test services for power semiconductors used in telecommunications and networking systems, computers and computer peripherals, consumer electronics, electronic office equipment, automotive systems, industrial products, and home appliances. PSi Technologies, Inc. encountered problems such as insufficient cashflows which caused delays on deliveries of parts needed resulting to delays in production activities. Breakdown of some machines and misunderstandings among employees were also encountered. The company plans to strengthen and expand its strategic customer relationships and maintain diversified global customer sales. It was observed that for an organization to be progressive, there must be a good communication between the management and the employees. Basic knowledge in computer and good communication skills are essential in this kind of company especially when dealing with the customers. Being involved in this kind of study provided valuable experiences which are worth applying when facing the challenges of the employment world
