Cavite State University, Indang Cavite. April 2011. Adviser: Prof. Eulogia M. Alano The farm practice was conducted at the Department of Agriculture- TechGen Demo Farm, Brgy. Tres Cruses, Tanza, Cavite from November 10, 2010, to February 04, 2011. The training aimed to provide experience on the production of lettuce using the non- circulating hydroponics system. Two types of hydroponics solutions were used: the liquid organic fertilizers or locally prepared organic solution (EM) and the commercially available solutions (Snap A and Snap B solution). The varieties of lettuce grown in the hydroponics were Lollo Rossa and Curly Green. Other activities conducted were seed sowing, pricking, transplanting on cup media, solution making, and maintenance and monitoring of plants and hydroponics solutions. Lettuce plants grown in the noncirculating hydroponics performed well and were ready for harvest in thirty days.
