Corazon Herrera Prof. Elma Alcantara The study entitled “Manufacture of Mosquito Stick from African Marigold leaves and Cow Manure” was conducted to make use of African Marigold leaves and cow manure for making mosquito stick. It also aims to (a) prove the effectiveness of mosquito stick from African marigold leaves and cow manure in killing mosquitoes and driving them away (b) have an alternative for commercial chemical mosquito coil. The study was conducted at 4 Pulo Indang , Cavite from December 1998 to March 1999. The treatments in the study were; Treatment 0 ( commercial mosquito coil); Treatment 1 ( 100 grams African marigold leaves ); Treatment 2 ( 75 grams African marigold leaves and 25 grams cow manure ); Treatment 3 ( 50 grams African marigold leaves and 50 grams cow manure); Treatment 4 ( 25 grams African marigold leaves and 75 grams cow manure ) and Treatment 5 ( 100 grams cow manure ). In the experimental Treatment, the highest mortality rate recorded is from T3 after thirty five minutes exposure. Highly significant difference among treatments were obtained. It was proven that the commercial mosquito coil is still most effective in driving and killing
