Abstract: FERAER, KAREN, M., Applied Research IV (General Science Curriculum), Laboratory School, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite, March 1999. "INDUSTRIAL UTILIZATION OF THE EXTRACTED ESSENTIAL OIL FROM ALAGAW " Adviser: Prof. Dulce L.Ramos The study entitled "Industrial Utilization of the Extracted Essential Oil from Alagaw' was conducted at the Department of Physical Sciences of the Cavite State University Indang, Cavite from September 1998 to January 1999. It aimed to utilize the extracted essential oil from Alagaw in the production of a natural kind of perfume; evaluate the effects of the varying amount of drops of essential oil from Alagaw on the blended essential oils namely: Juniper oil, sandalwood oil, and spearmint oil and to determine the boiling point and specific gravity of the essential oil from Alagaw. The results of the physical properties evaluation of the oil indicated that there are no significant differences in the produced natural perfume in terms. Of its odor. The scores for appearance, when subjected to Analysis of Variance, gave significant differences at 1% level of significance. But when subjected to Duncan's Multiple Range Test, its results had no significant differences among treatments. In the physical analysis of the extracted essential oil, it was found out that its specific gravity is 0.9994 and the boiling point is 1030C, a value that is 30C higher than the normal boiling point of water that is 1000C
