GELFIO M. CAMERINO and ROBE JHON R. LOBRES. Design, Installation and Evaluation of a Pico-hydroelectric Power Generation System for Baño de Señora Resort in Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. An Undergraduate Design Project. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. Adviser: Engr. Efren R. Rocillo.
The study entitled, “Design, Installation and Evaluation of a Pico-hydroelectric Power Generation System for Baño de Señora Resort in Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite" was conducted to integrate the lessons acquired from the program and to add more information to the field of Electrical Engineering. The study aimed to design, install, and evaluate a pico-hydroelectric system in the University; evaluate the system in a span of two weeks in the following: 8:00AM, 12:00NN and 4:00PM and evaluate the water flow, power, voltage, current and the speed of the turbine. The 1.5m head was constant as a standard height of the intake to the generator. The flow of the water is 0.5 m/sec as a recommended flow rate of HydroTech. The study covered the condition and construction of the pico-hydroelectric system to be evaluated, which include water turbine, generator, electronic load converter, and 50W incandescent bulb. Outputs include the soft and hard copy of the evaluation results and installation manual of the device. The total cost of the study was Php 40,793.00 only.
