Abstract: CHAN, ANGELICA C. Level of Interest on Texting and Familiarity with Jejemon of Teenagers. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication major in Journalism. Cavite State University. April 2011. Thesis Adviser: Mr. Allan Robert C. Solis. The study was conducted to determine the relationship between the level of interest on texting and familiarity with Jejemon of teenagers of Mass Communication students of Cavite State University Indang, Cavite. The study was conducted among 158 students from March 2011. The study specifically aimed to determine the respondents’ level of interest on texting; the respondent’s familiarity with Jejemon. Finally, it determined the relationship between the level of interest on texting and familiarity with Jejemon of teenagers. The research design used was Descriptive survey method. Stratified random sampling was employed for the respondents of the study. The statistical measures applied were frequency count and Pearson (r) Correlation. Result of the Pearson revealed that the respondents’ level of interest on texting and familiarity with Jejemon has no significant relationship.
