The Development of Pico-hydroelectric Power Generator at Ballo de Sefiora Resort in Cavite State Univeristy, Indang, Cavite was conducted to integrate the lessons acquired in the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering program. The study aimed to evaluate the pico-hydroelectric generator in the university; provide the university a reference for the future researchers; evaluate the system in a span of two days; provide an illustration of the behavior of the resulted power output; and compute the project cost. The study covered the provision and construction of the pico-hydroelectric system to be evaluated, which includes one water turbine and gear box unit, one forebay tank, one battery system, one inverter, and a charge controller.
The results of the evaluation showed the difference in power output when increasing head measurements. Outputs include the soft and hard copy of the evaluation results, circuit diagrams, and installation manual of the device. The total cost of the study was P 32, 700.00
