Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, major in Journalism. Cavite State University. Indang, Cavite. March 2014. Adviser: Ms. Racquel G. Agustin. The study was conducted to seek the relationship of awareness to and compliance of jeepney drivers to road signs plying Indang-Olivarez route. It aimed to: identify the common road signs along Indang-Olivarez route; measure the level of awareness of jeepney drivers to road signs in Indang-Olivarez route; determine if the jeepney drivers are complying to road signs; and determine the relationship of awareness and compliance of jeepney drivers to road signs. The study was conducted from November 2012 to January 2013, which focused mainly on the awareness and compliance of jeepney drivers to road signs plying Indang-Olivarez route. The total number of the participants were 65 jeepney drivers, who were registered plying Indang-Olivarez route. Based on the results on the common road signs for Indang-Olivarez route, participants gave ten common road signs strategically and easy to follow. The common road signs for Indang-Olivarez route are: Curve ahead; School Zone; Y intersection; Intersection ahead; Double Curved ahead; 20 Tons allowed; Intersection ahead; Pedestrian Crossing; and Roundabout ahead. The findings of the study were as follows: On the level of awareness, participants had a "very high" awareness because they had attended seminar for road signs, thus majority of the participants were aware to road signs; all drivers were complying to road signs. They easily could comply to road signs because they are aware; there is a relationship between awareness to and compliance of jeepney drivers to road signs. The drivers are highly aware and so familiar with road signs. Thus, they are very aware and complying to road signs at the same time.
