Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2014. Adviser: Ms. Vivian D. Rogando. The research had the purpose of determining the emotional intelligence, teaching efficacy, and teaching effectiveness of the faculty members of the College of Arts and Sciences in Cavite State University- Main Campus. It made use of descriptive correlational research design and involved the participation of 55 faculty members of the College of Arts and Sciences in Cavite State University- Main campus who were on a job order status. The Emotional Intelligence Self-Evaluation (EISE) used by Saturn (2003) developed by Dr. Nicholas Hall containing 30 items; was administered by the researcher to measure the emotional intelligence of the faculty members. The Teachers' Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES) of Moran & Hoy (2001) containing 24 items was used to measure the teaching efficacy of the participants. The Student Evaluation for Teachers (SET) containing 20 items was used to measure the teaching effectiveness of the faculty members. Results of the study revealed that job order faculty members have high level of emotional intelligence as well as their level of teaching efficacy. Based on the results of spearman rank correlation coefficient test, the study confirmed that emotional intelligence is significantly related to teaching efficacy. However, emotional intelligence and teaching efficacy are not significantly related to teaching effectiveness. It shows that a teacher can teach effectively regardless of the level of emotional intelligence and teaching efficacy.
