Abstract: Annalyn P. Arena and Mark Renn R. Mendoza Impact of the Programs Implemented at Bahay Kalinga. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in Criminology. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Ms. Marissa C. Lontoc. The study was conducted to assess the impact of the implemented programs (educational program, counseling program, dietary/medical/dental program, recreational program and vocational program) to the residents of Bahay Kalinga. The objectives were to: I). identify the demographic profile of the residents; 2). assess the impact of the programs implemented to the residents of Bahay Kalinga in terms of intellectual aspect, psychological aspect, health aspect, social aspect and economic aspect; 3). assess the impact of the programs to the residents as perceived by program facilitators; 4). determine the significant relationship between the demographic profile of the residents and their impact on the programs implemented at Bahay Kalinga; and 5). determine the significant difference between the perceptions of residents and program facilitators on the impact of programs implemented at Bahay Kalinga. This study used descriptive method to analyze the impact of the programs to the residents of Bahay Kalinga. A total of 21 residents and 6 program facilitators served as the participants of the study. Based on the data gathered, the following findings were drawn: Majority of the residents were 17 years old; grade six (6) and belonged to low average economic status. The programs implemented at Bahay Kalinga assist in the holistic development of its residents. However, there are limitations on the development of intellectual and social aspects of the residents. In terms of intellectual aspect, residents were taught as one group regardless of their individual grade levels. Meanwhile, in terms of social aspect, spatial/kinesthetic ability, the residents were not fully developed by the center. Program facilitators perceived that the programs implemented at Bahay Kalinga do assist in the holistic development of the residents as shown by the residents' attitude and performance. But, results revealed the inadequacy of personnel and its facility to cater the educational and recreational programs of the residents. Furthermore, vocational programs of the center confines the residents' creativity. There is a significant relationship between the demographic profile of the residents in terms of educational attainment and the impact of the programs in terms of intellectual aspect implemented at Bahay Kalinga. Moreover, there is also a significant relationship between resident's economic status and the impact of the programs in terms of economic aspect implemented at Bahay Kalinga. There is no significant difference between the perceptions of the residents and program facilitators on the impact of the programs implemented at Bahay Kalinga to its residents.
