Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, major in Journalism. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. April 2015. Adviser: Ms. Nica Joy Reyes. Generally, this study aimed to determine the level of exposure to and influence of the documentary “J-Witness” in promoting social responsibility among Social Work students of CvSU- Main Campus. Specifically, it aimed to measure the level of exposure of Social Work students of CvSU to “I-Witness”, find out the awareness on social responsibility messages in the documentary “I-Witness” and; evaluate the influence of exposure to I-Witness in promoting social responsibility among Social Work students of CvSU. The study utilized the descriptive method of research to 120 selected Social Wor students of CvSU-Main Campus. A survey questionnaire was used to gather the data needed in this study. Stratified random sampling was used in order to determine the level of exposure to and influence of the documentary “I-Witness” in promoting social responsibility as perceived by selected participants of Bachelor of Science in Social Work. To determine statistical measurement of the gathered data, percentage, arithmetic weighted mean, standard deviation and spearman rank correlation were used. Based on the findings of the study, it showed that the level of exposure of selected social work students to documentary “I-Witness” was low; their knowledge on social responsibility messages in “I-Witness” was high; and the influence of exposure to documentary “I-Witness” in promoting social responsibility was also high.
