Undergraduate Thesis of Bachelor of Science in Business Management major in Human Resource Development Management. Cavite State University Indang, Cavite. April 2016. Adviser: Dr. Florindo C. Ilagan. This study described the demographic profile of academic personnel in selected public elementary schools, determined their career perceptions as well as the factors affecting these career perceptions. Moreover, this study probed if there is a significant relationship between the demographic profile and the career perception of being academic personnel in elementary public elementary school. Likewise, this study explored if there is a significant difference in the perception of academic personnel when grouped according to demographic profile. Descriptive design was used as the research design and quota sampling was used. Spearman Rank-Test, Kruskal Wallis-Test and Mann Whitney-Test were used as statistical tools in the study. The participants were 200 elementary teachers from different public schools in Cavite. The study was conducted from November 2015 to April 2016. Results showed that most of the respondents were aged 31 — 40 years old; majority were female; married had bachelor's degree, and employed for at most for 7 years. The career perception of academic personnel was found positive and was highly influenced by all factors considered in the study. Furthermore, career perception was significantly related to educational attainment of academic personnel. A significant difference in the career perception in terms of educational attainment and length of service of academic personnel was found
