Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. October 2015. Adviser: Arch. Epitacio A. Olegario, Jr. The design project was conducted from June 2014 to October 2015 to develop a design for a redevelopment plan of Tagaytay Picnic Grove as a building block in implementing the region's development plan proposal for Tagaytay City. Specifically, it aimed to: 1. present site redevelopment plan for Tagaytay Picnic Grove; 2. provide more geographically balanced distribution of parks and recreation facilities throughout the city limits and developing areas of the extra territorial jurisdiction to meet the diverse needs of the community; 3. provide a design of park and recreation facility that xvill achieve safety, accessibility, and aesthetics value; 4. verify the park's capacity to serve users such as the tourists and staffs; 5. introduce and apply the laws, codes and regulations that are essential and related in designing a park; 6. formulate a form concept, design concept and design philosophy that will serve as guide in conceptualizing park design with emphasis on eco friendliness; 7. establish appropriate design considerations that suites the design of a park; and 8. indicate specific design features suited for the design of a park. Behavioral mapping which included activity and traffic mapping were conducted on the existing site of Tagaytay Picnic Grove at Barangay Sungay East, Tagaytay City. At the end of the study, the researchers were able to provide site development plan, floor plans, elevations, sections, perspective and a scaled model for architectural presentation.
