Abstract: SUMAGUI, DANICA EVERA A., Attitudes on Interracial Relationship of College Students in Cavite State University. Undergraduate Thesis. Bachelor of Science in International Studies major in European Studies. Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite. November 2015. Adviser: Prof. Nelia E. Feranil. This study was conducted to determine the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of college students in Cavite State University; determine the attitudes toward interracial relationship of college students in Cavite State University; determine the level of importance of racial identity salience of college students in Cavite State University; and to determine the relationship between the demographic and socio-economic profile and level of attitudes toward interracial relationship; relationship between the level of importance of racial identity salience and level of attitudes toward interracial relationship; and if there is difference in attitudes on interracial relationship according to age and sex of college students in Cavite State University. Descriptive correlational method of research was used to analyze the relationship among variables and quota sampling of the participants was used. A total of 100 students, 50 local students, 10 per year level and 50 international undergraduate students of Cavite State University during the first semester served as the participants of the study. A three-part survey questionnaire was used as the instrument of the study. Results revealed that the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the participants are not related with the level of their attitudes toward interracial relationship. Moreover, there is no significant relationship between the level of importance on racial identity salience and the level of attitudes on interracial relationship of the participants, Finally, there is no difference on the participants’ attitudes on interracial relationship according to their age and sex.
